Rudy Elizondo is part owner of Alamo City Crossfit and Barbell Club and also serves the city of San Antonio as a Fire Fighter. Rudy has been in the department since 1999 and currently serves as a Fire Engineer. Rudy fell in love with Crossfit back in 2008. Considering his strenuous job, he immediately recognized the benefits Crossfit offered in keeping him in top shape to protect his brothers and community. He, along with his wife and partner, became CrossFit certified and started coaching. Rudy later earned a USAW Sports Performance certification and as a club coach, established a successful weightlifting club in San Antonio. Rudy and his wife left their past box and club to start their own gym and are thrilled to have been part of Alamo City Crossfit and Barbell club. Their goal is to continue to help people achieve their fitness goals. With the Alamo City Barbell Club in its infancy, Rudy and Liz have already had a successful athlete, Remedios (Remey) Dondoyano compete at the American Open in 2015 and the 2016 National Weightlifting Championships at which she place 6th overall in the nation in her weight class (58kg).
