An El Paso, TX native, Elizabeth Elizondo is a graduate of The University of San Antonio with a Bachelors in Business Administration. After over a decade of competitive dance, Liz found CrossFit in January of 2008 and just after their first workout, her and husband Rudy, were hooked. It was the challenge, variety and instant friendships that led Liz to pursue the CrossFit certification and begin coaching. Despite hanging up her dance shoes not long after beginning her coaching career, Liz found that the experience gained from dance primed her to not only be able to breakdown lifts and movements into small, more teachable segments, but also gave her an eye for catching correct versus incorrect movement and technique. Since beginning her CrossFit coaching career in the Fall of 2008, Liz has had the pleasure of working with people of all ages, fitness levels and backgrounds. In 2012, Liz discovered a new layer to her passion for coaching in weightlifting, or as many know it, Olympic lifting.
Liz has had experience on a competitive level by participating in the 2010 CrossFit Games, 2014 South Central Regionals and several local competitions. Aside from being an athlete, Liz has had an even greater pleasure coaching, along side husband, Rudy, weightlifter Remey Dondoyano (58kg) who most recently competed at the 2015 American Open and 2016 Weightlifting National Championships. Liz and Rudy were also part of the strength and conditioning team for the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship Runner-Up, Trinity University Women’s Soccer Team.
